ESAT 考綱：五個模組的全部主題
備考的第一步，是弄清楚考綱到底考甚麼。這一頁按 UAT-UK 發佈的 ESAT 考綱，用中文列出五個模組的每個主題和它的代碼，方便你和自己的課本逐條對照。每個主題下的細分考點及其數量，見英文考綱頁面。
先看整體
- 五個模組：Mathematics 1、Mathematics 2、Physics、Chemistry、Biology。每個人都考 Mathematics 1，大多數人再考兩個。
- 每個模組40分鐘，獨立計時，不能用計算機。
- 每個模組題量相同，但考綱範圍差別很大：Chemistry 的範圍最廣，Physics 在三個科學模組中最窄。如果你申請的大學課程容許自由選擇科學模組，這一點值得考慮；劍橋自然科學的建議是選和你現在所學最接近的模組。
- Mathematics 2 不包括統計和概率。

Chemistry 主題最多。如果平均分配時間溫習每個考點，很可能未溫習完就已經用完時間，所以要盡早通讀，先找出自己沒學過的主題。

讀 DSE 生物的同學請留意 B6：它對應選修部分「生物技術」，沒有修讀這個選修部分的話，需要自行溫習。詳見香港考生頁面。
怎樣使用這份考綱
- 先確認你申請的課程要求哪些模組，然後只溫習這幾個模組。
- 拿自己的課本逐個主題對照，標出沒學過或學得淺的部分。
- 到按課題練習，從標出的主題開始練習。題目和題解是英文的，因為 ESAT 用英語考。
- 按備考計劃的次序推進。
UAT-UK 的建議也是這樣：先讀考綱，溫習沒把握的主題，再用官方指南、舊試題和 Pearson 的計時練習測試熟悉題型。這些官方材料都是免費的。
這裡的每一道題都由我 Lucas Rey 親自編寫和審核。我在劍橋大學讀完碩士，之後到牛津大學從事研究。
